Texas is as close as I’ve been
and I will go to Texas!
I’m fortunate enough to live smack dab in the middle of the greatest country on Earth… The great state of Texas, which also happens to home the best barbecue you’ll ever have.
Barbecue Beyond is a place to share our love for great barbecue as we travel across the state and beyond. If I’m not sampling smoked ribs and brisket on the road, I’m honing my own barbecue techniques at home. I’ll share reviews from all the top rated smokehouses and some hidden gems that will take you off the beaten path.
Since we will be traveling by trailer, I’ll share my experiences and review RV resorts throughout our barbecue journey. Tips, tricks, and hacks for simplifying hauling and camping in a trailer will always be appreciated. And I’ll pass along all I learn along the way to you too.
So kick off your boots, grab yourself a beverage (preferably a whiskey), fire up the BBQ Beyond playlist on Spotify and get your post oak logs in the smoke box.

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
